ASL CLUB

(American Sign Language)

Virginia Heights Elementary School has the distinct honor of housing the Regional Program for Deaf and Hearing Impaired preschool and elementary students. In order to foster more understanding and communication between the program's population and the general education population at Virginia Heights, an ASL Club is being offered once a week.

The Club will meet for 45 minutes on Mondays, after the school day ends, and be led by one of the Virginia Heights' teachers of the Deaf. It is open to students in the 2nd through 5th grades, free of charge, and the maximum number of participants will be twenty. A sign-up sheet and behavioral contract was sent home, to be signed by both participating students and their parent or guardian. Club Sponsor: Mrs. Travers
